the Room 1228 Team

Dave Rhodes unearths memorable insights about God and life with a subversive approach that creates a welcomed disturbance to the status quo. In all of the intersections he creates, he leads people to hear the voice of God and trust the heart of God enough so that they act on what they’ve heard. Dave was one of the co-founders of Wayfarer in 2000, and he serves as lead strategist, helping us continually develop and refine our vision. He also serves as a speaker for Wayfarer Camp. He graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic College and earned his Master of Divinity degree from Beeson Divinity School. Dave and his wife Kim have two children, Emma and Izzie.

David is Wayfarer’s lead processor and our team captain when it comes to the production of our intersections, making sure all the technical and personnel issues are in place to help people in the room collide with God. He also spearheads our fundraising events, the booking process for our speakers, budgeting, communication with our board of directors, and other administrative issues. In addition, he serves as camp director for Wayfarer Camp. David joined Wayfarer in November 2002 from Shocco Springs Baptist Conference and Camp Center in Talladega, Alabama, where he was recreation supervisor. David also served as a recreation director at Student Life after graduating from Palm Beach Atlantic College. David and his wife Courtney have four children: Brennan, Logan, Eli, and Millie. The Reichleys live in Greer.

Robert serves as a concepts and editorial designer for Wayfarer’s written intersections. As a writer and editor, he seeks to create and design clear, challenging, and Christ-filled lessons, devotions, and readings that bring people into collisions with Jesus that awaken them to a new way of following God. He also contributes to the creative process of Wayfarer’s events and serves as a curriculum designer and activities coordinator for Wayfarer Camp. He joined Wayfarer in 2002 after a career as a sportswriter at Pro Football Weekly and the Spartanburg Herald-Journal. Robert graduated from Wake Forest University and earned his Master’s degree in journalism at Northwestern University. He and his wife Lindsay were married in 2007.

Blake, Wayfarer’s artist, is more than just a designer or a video producer. He calls himself a visual communicator. Just as our speakers try to use words to communicate the message God puts on our hearts, Blake seeks to find ways to communicate the message through something you see and experience. Blake is a native of Irvine, Calif., and a graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University. There, he focused his studies on critical thinking and creative problem-solving with an emphasis in visual expression. He spent four years as the media director at First United Methodist Church in Americus, Georgia, and was a freelancer before joining Wayfarer in April 2007. Since joining Wayfarer, Blake is a three-time finalists for istockphoto's Design of the Year competition and a finalist for the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association Book Cover Award. He also works as the art director and video producer for Wayfarer Camp. He and his wife Kim live in Moore, S.C.
